Infrared & Metering Services

Infrared Thermography

Infrared thermography uses special electronic cameras and devices to make heat patterns and temperature differences easily visible.

It helps us to locate many problems in their early stages often before they can be seen or found in any other way. A temperature difference, usually an abnormal hot spot, is usually associated with high electrical resistance due to excessive friction of components and connections. These areas of high resistance, or “hot spots,” are likely the cause of most electrical fires and failing components.

Horton/Jones Infrared & Metering Services offer the newest, state of the art infrared thermal imaging cameras and software for accurate analysis.

  • All components are viewed with the FLUKE Ti400 Camera
  • All reports are generated with the newest SmartView software created by FLUKE.
  • All technicians are certified by The Snell Group. This group conforms to the guidelines of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) SNT-TC-1A(2006)
